If you tried that today you would pay more, taxes jumped up big time this year.

I bought mine private seller. corvette guy tried a Z put 1k miles on it then sold it to me.

flew into LA and drove it home. put more miles driving home than it had on the clock lol

I've seen maybe 7 Z's driving around here but it's a niche car anyway ;)

:iagree:

I was searching for months in PA, MD, OH, WV all around but when I bought it was around the japan earthquake and production/shipment was shut down.

yeaaaaaaaaaa I wont be waiting that long.

unless the Z is out next year i'll be going elsewhere. I can't wait that long for a new car.

Fall 2017 is my deadline for Nissan too. All the viable cars would have been released by then.

wow... that's crazy. Well, I hope they release some details soon.

I remember hearing rumors of a lightweight homage to the Datsun 180Z days and I also heard the IDX concept was supposed to fuse 510 elements with a new gen 240 chassis... But that got terminated from what I hear. I hope Nissan does come up with something though and doesn't do some weird hybrid AWD turbo cookie cutter car.

I would just love some info. even a small piece of info would suffice at this point

I wonder how many of us will trade in our beloved 370z. I will certainly wait two years just in case of new generation bugs/recalls.

as of now I have no plans to trade it in nor sell. think I wanna keep it around as a side toy

I'll trade in, if it's a better car. Sell my Z, have the new one, and a shitbox daily.

If the new Z weighs more than the Z34, I'll shop elsewhere or get a FI kit.

LA370z 04-08-2016 11:29 AM

I would trade in my Z in order to upgrade.

That's what I'm saying. It would have to be a good upgrade.

Same weight or less
Better infotainment system
More powerful/advanced engine, which the 3.0L TT would fit my bill

All above + : stock cooling solution for brakes, better cooling all around, LSD standard, telescoping steering wheel will force me to.

Ideally I'd like it to stay the exact same otherwise. Trouble is we own one of the last legacy sports cars, and with the market as it is now my biggest fear is that the next iteration will be a tech'd up mass market pleaser.
