My car has about 37,000 miles..... I've gotten oil changes pretty prompt.
What other maintenaince should i do?

Diff and tranny fluid.

kenchan 03-04-2014 01:11 PM

maybe brake fluid too if your brakes feel spongy. tranny can probably wait.

Chuck33079 03-04-2014 01:14 PM

I noticed a huge difference difference changing to a good synthetic tranny fluid, and I did it at 17k miles. For the cost of a few quarts of fluid and some washers, I can't imagine why one wouldn't.

tranny fluid it is then, if ones having issues.

Brake fluid should be flushed every 3/30k miles, it will absorb moisture over time and during a panic stop can boil out.

At 30K we suggest:

Coolant Drain/Fill
Brake Flush
Tranny & Diffy Fluid Change
Oil Change
and a bunch of checks on things you normally wouldn't look at (brake pads, overall conditions, etc)

I did ask them where they were going to rotate them to. I got a mental picture of a guy standing next too my vehicle on a lift and the tech is just spinning my wheels while it's in the air. Technically that would be rotating my tires :roflpuke2:

I should open up a shop and advertise free tire rotations. Then I'll just do burnouts in the customer's car :rofl2:
