Extended warranties are a waste of money most of the time.
Keep in mind you will still have a powertrain warranty to 50k miles (I believe) or 5 years, whichever comes first.

Counterpoint is that if you are keeping a car for 6-7 years and you can get a 100K/6-7year bumper to bumper extended warrantee for a good deal, it's not a bad thing for peace fo mind. One major failure and you could basically be breaking even. For someone who changes cars every 3 years or less, then, absolutely waste of $$$. |
