windshield price :(

Here is winter and I my last 2010 trip I've got a stone in my windshield..
I've head the impact noise, but I did not see any mark...

Until today, when I checked my car i the garage...

From a small puncture, now I have a big.. line.

I've called my dealer (no insurance YET) and the price here in Europe is 1100 EURO, the is 1500 USD!

What is the price in US and other countries ?

I recently had my 370z (2011) windshield replaced but went with aftermarket; the installer used Pilkington glass which was $395 USD installed. This glass may be thicker because the molding at the top does not fit quite as nicely, but I am noticing less body flex which is nice. The Nissan OEM glass would have been cost $592 plus labor.

I've contacted Pilkington dealer, and they don't offer this kind of of windshield...

this may vary by state, but i'm pretty sure that if you have full coverage with your insurance, they will replace a windshield with cracks in it and are legally bound not to raise your rates because of it.
