Yes, when you follow the reset procedure above, the check engine light will begin flashing quickly in 4 groups. For example, if the first group flashes 10 times quickly it is a 0, the second group flashes 6 times for a 6, another 10 times for a 0 and then 5 times for a 5. This gives you the code 0605. A quick google search will then give you a general idea of the issue.
Also, most auto part stores will let you borrow their ODBII reader for free.
