The information regarding Mobil 1's "step down" from a full synthetic has been linked on these forums several times.

Whether or not it's a good oil doesn't appear to be questioned often....tons of people use it, and many major auto makers as well, but it isn't the same Mobil 1 that it used to be.

To the OP, $90 is right around what most dealerships are charging for an oil change with the recommended Nissan Ester Oil. Some are charging $30, but either don't use Ester or have no idea what it is.

You can DIY your oil, I'd suggest you save all paper work and recipts though. Just in case

That's kinda what I thought. Makes me a little nervous though. Say I blow an engine - I wonder how "OK" the dealer would be with my DIY oil changes then. Hmmm...
