Default Wheel paint fading (stock)

So a few months ago I noticed (after a detailing job) that my rims were looking dirty. It almost seemed like they were speckled with black tar. I tried to get my it off but it would not come off. After a little I thought it might be the paint on the rims. In an inconspicuous area I used some stuff on the problem and sure as ****, it was the paint literally fading off. The rims are 2014 370z base stock rims, silver. This is the kicker, I think the da,age is from the detailing job from........ A Nissan dealer. Will my warranty help me? 35,000 on the car. Thanks everyone. I have no way to prove it was the dealer or not

My guess ( for what it's worth...30+yrs. in detailing ) detailer used the wrong cleaner ( most likely acid ) on your wheels. Dealer detailers are production oriented and not paid very well, that said you probably don't have any recourse since you didn't see the problem till after you left the dealer. If you bought the car used it's also possible the wheels might be reconditioned.
