Thumbs down Best dealer to work with in Phoenix area?

I just picked up my Z a few weeks ago. It's been in the shop for more days than I've had it home, accompanied by my service adviser's inability to communicate with me. I was curious if any of the Phoenix Z owners could tell me the best place to bring the Z in for service & warranty work? Are there any "mod-friendly" dealerships in our area? I live in the East Valley. Thanks!

Mod Friendly dealers haha thats a tuff one be prepared for them to tell you that your warranty is terminated do to mods loll I am on long tube headers and im debating to go let them do oil change because they might say something and i do have extended warranty...btw my oil changes are free till March 2017 thats why but i can do my own of course

Yeah... I understand your fear. From what I've been reading it seems like they can't just terminate your warranty all together due to you installing mods. The most they can do is reject a warranty claim if they can prove that the damage to the car was caused by an aftermarket part. At that point they may flag that part along with anything else that mod is wearing or damaging the vehicle. Seems like people go in under warranty with CAI and catbacks installed. Not sure about the LTH though. The only thing I like about dealer oil changes (aside from being free) is that they can keep up with the drivetrain while they're down there and keep an eye out for leaks or failing parts that would be covered under warranty (mechanics are always looking for warranty work, especially if the shop is a little slow!) and it also looks good in terms of resale value when you have a complete history of your vehicle's maintenance and services.

Bottom line, If I didn't have the warranty, I'd be doing the Z's maintenance myself. Good luck with your decision.

You may want to try https://conceptzperformance.com/. They do great work and know Z's.

Thanks man. I'll keep them in mind. But unless they do warranty work for Nissan, I'm kind of stuck with the dealer unless it's for an aftermarket upgrade.

I did however get my Z back today. They performed a slew of work on my car and ultimately made things right. It was a rocky start when I first purchased the car, but 3 weeks later it's fixed.

They replaced the R&P, fuel pump, transmission, flushed the power steering, and a few other small things. Over $6000 in repairs, and they got it all covered by warranty. Thank goodness!
