Default Seat Cleaning

Not an issue for coupe owners since they don't have ventilated seats so I thought I'd post here.

I noticed recently that I am getting a build up of grey looking dirt on my seats. I bought some upholstery cleaner but it didn't help any. The problem is the dirt is down in the mesh design of the seat and a rag or brush doesn't seem to get down in there and lift the dirt out. Any suggestions for products or techniques to get it clean?

Brush gently with a nylon brush or similar and follow up with a shop vac and damp cloth.

You can buy a small steam-clean vacuum at Wal-Mart or maybe Target. They make a heated one or non-heated. I just bought one for my Mom today for about $98 . . .
It has brissels on the vacuum you can use to rub out that dirt you're talking about in the mesh .

Wow, i'm responding to a two year old post.. However, I find this very helpful, my roadster has grey-ish stains underneath the mesh, I've tried basic cleaners but cant seem to get under it. I'm going to buy a bissell steam cleaner tomorrow, hopefully this will work. Has anyone tried this yet?

Just wanted to say I got my bissel today and cleaned my roadster seats. Complimented them by cleaning up the leather as well. Looks like a just rolled out of the dealership ! Thanks again for the info.
