Default TSB on the Roadster top issue??

With the way the various problems that are still popping up with the Roadster tops, don't you all think that maybe Nissan should put out a TSB on the top, like they did on the engine oil consumption issue?

In some ways, this top issue can be seen as being worse than the oil consumption issue.

As another Forum member said, this is no joke! And with the unbelievably high prices on replacing the various parts, this is, without a doubt, a very expensive thing to happen to any Roadster owner, should they have top problems while out of warranty.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that a TSB on the top issue would protect the Roadster owners who don't operate their tops frequently, and or, who store their Roadster during the winter months, and develop issues with the top after the warranty period has past.

I think that for many of us, we will be well under the milage part of the warranty when we reach the 3 year part of it, meaning that it is very possible those Roadsters will not be driven enough, and the top operated enough, to find out if there's problem until it's too late.

Just a thought. What do you all think?

Totally agrre with you, I have about 3500km on it since June/2010 and now stored and was thinking the same thing as you were.
I have so very slight marks nothing that has become worse but who knows 5 years down the road. Even been thinking after my 3year lease is up might trade in if they have addressed the top issue in 2011/12/13...

Check though some of the previous posts on the top, poor wearing and even tearing in certain area.

I haven't personal run into the tearing or even bad wear yet but the dealer ship did adjust my windows so the don't rub when opening/closing the door now I get some water though them lol but it's noted and will be fixed when the car gets out of storage.

I just agree with Hi-Step'n370Z that something needs to be address ASAP because who knows what the wear will be like when we all run out of warrenty time....
