My friends are amazed when I demonstrate the top. Espescially using the door button from outside the car.

It seems from all the videos I've seen that the back portion of the top comes down pretty hard on the rear trunk area. Is there any concern for paint damage? Also, does it form any kind of seal back there or will there be drafts during the winter?

I dont see any concerns on mine, its not that hard. There is a clear protection strip on top of the paint that it rest on..
As far as drafts go, I doubt it.. mine is very tight and ZERO noise problems

Ditto above. the strip of protectant where the top meets the tonneau cover looks like double-thickness clear bra material. This top seals as well as any I've ever had.

If the top is up, it must be parked.

One thing I have noticed -- there's a cloth glare shield that comes down over the painted portion inside the top when it's up. When you fold the top, the cloth portion folds up and covers the back glass. Very nice design, but coupled with the glass rear windblock, it makes it nearly impossible to clean the inside of the rear window.

I had a touch of haze on mine from out-gassing, I'd assume, and had to stop the top in mid operation, in order to reach up under that cloth covering and do a contortionist cleaning of the inside of the rear window while standing outside the car.

Not crazy about stopping the top mechanism in mid-stride, but a dirty window is a major safety hazard in this car.
