I don't understand why people ask others on a PUBLIC WORLDWIDE forum what their insurance rates are? If you want to know how much insurance costs, GOOGLE different insurance companies and put down your information. It's FREE and it only takes a few minutes of your time to get a quote.

To save you trouble: The major ones off the top of my head: Geico, Progressive, State Farm, All State, eSurance, etc.

Your insurance rates in NJ will be vastly different from someone in MN or FL or CA or wherever. It also depends on your driving history (tickets + accidents = high premium), discounts (defensive driver, good student), and other factors.

Yeah I would have straight up wrecked and killed myself in something like a Z when I was 18.

I think I pay like $110 a month for insurance with a clean record but my deductible is low.

Well, I am a very responsible 18 y/o driver. I drive defensively and do not show off on roads. So, I am not worried about wrecking it and getting myself killed. It is just funny that insurance on Z is 560$ and on let's say GTR (which is more than twice expensive and has more power) is only 750$. makes no sense to me.

Not to be mean but the insurance companies don't care if you're worried about having a wreck or not. They're worried.

I didn't see if you had any accidents or tickets... How's your credit? Is this your first car? How long you had a license? These could effect your rates

It is my first car in the US. So, I never had an insurance here.
0 tickets obviously, and 0 accidents.
I have just recently got California driver license, but had my international one for soon to be 2 years.

That is why, you are new to the US with no driving history, nothing wrong with that but Insurance companies will ding you.
Also, go see an agent in person, work with them on deductions for anything and everything.
Good student in school
Taking a defensive driving course can reduce the premium
Full payment instead of every month

There are many more, also take each quote to other places as they will try to beat it to get your business.

I think some time it can be true because they may think newer car may have warranty and less chance of breaking down??!! I dunno! Did you ask the insurance agent why would it be?

Default Insurance pricing

Hey ya'll

I crrently have a nissan juke & recently went to the nissan dealer to check out the 370zs. The manager hooked me up with a 2013 red base model for 29k & change. My payments would be 525/month 6 year, 1k dp. I currently pay 475 monthly for the juke. The deal breaker was the insurance. I haave imsurance with farmers and currently pay 153(juke) with the z it would go to 279. Its just too much increase. Im currently 23 and must add that never had an accident and no major traffic fines in 1 1/2 years.

Any imputs on my decision to purchase or pass would be greatly appreciated, and if u could add your age and insurance price that would be awesome too. Trying to collected data to further my decision on waiting or signing.

Another consideration is supporting articles on a near new model release, wouldnt want to buy the z on its last model year production.

Thx

Switch the insurance, I know it's not the same car, but my daughter (21) is on her own at Geico, with a Mazda Speed (2011) and pays 98.-/month full coverage.

But that's in upstate NY and might be different in your area.

And good deal on your 2013 Base, at 34,500.- list, 29k is great! No problem going with the last 2 model Years, by know they should be more bullet proof than a first Year model. I think the next one will not be introduced before 2015 model Year.

Wait 2 more years until you are 25 then check the rates again, they'll go down.

Also, don't get just the base package, definitely consider getting one with sport package. Well worth the extra few grand.

THIS ^^^^

I am with State Farm and pay $109 a month (I'm 44yrs old). The wife and I will be looking for better deals next week. The Sports Package is the best deal going.
