hermmmmmm this is my take on the whole situation, you can blame whoever you might think is at fault sure, we can all do that. But you bought the car because you wanted a Z, this thread shows the true z enthusiast from the "i like how the z looks like" peeps. For me im pretty nonchalant about it when i first saw the price i was like awwwww shoot batman but after sitting on it and thinking about it and reading these posts i mean i bought my car for 32.5 OTD with 2k miles on it and im glad it had 2k miles on it b/c i would have felt worse stalling in a car that hasnt been broken in. so going to dealerships and nego with them for a new 2014 and prob only get the car price without tax to 28.5 at best but prob 29. and then NJ taxes and fees so around 32k....not worth the animosity or anger or time to frustrate on it. honestly italy you would at best pay about 500-1000 less if you were to get the 14.

Italy you ballin already. How did you buy 6 brand new cars in 2 years as you stated earlier? Yeah i understand the lost as i also have a 2013 model. Nothing we can't do. We mainly just have bad luck and timing.

especially when you've done retail like i have as a teen, some of these dumbarse customers come back to the store with their 2 month old used electronics DEMANDING to credit the difference between wat they paid vs the latest sale price the store was offering. :shakes head: store declines, then the dumbarse calls the cops telling them the store stole money from them. :shakes head: the cop was like why the f- was i called here again? |

Also, you can't convince me that you could talk down a base sport $5K now. You would probably be lucky to get a couple of thousand off, which is approx what I paid for my 2011 base sport. While some people are smart enough to negotiate significantly down from MSRP, I'm sure the dealers have plenty of customers that aren't so smart. I don't think Italy has enough of an argument to get $$$ back from Nissan. Those customers that paid near MSRP have a better argument, but the only complaint they can make is that dealer's are guilty of acting like dealers by trying to rip customers off :ugh2: |

Interesting read. My 2011 MSRP was 33K. I paid a little over 28K. So if they had dropped it by 4K the next week, I would still be under new MSRP by 1K. And with the new lower MSRP, I wouldn't expect them to come down as far. So it's really hard to tell how much you "lost". There may be a lot less room to negotiate, kind of like everyone who walks on the lot getst the "best deal".

a car's worth is wat it's worth to you.

I just bought my '13 Z fully loaded (sport/touring/NAV) for $36,000. It has 550 miles as of today. Maybe I should trade it in for a '14 and possibly get cash back :D
