now there is just no better deal than getting a 3.7 v6 sports car with sport brakes and 19' wheels for the price of a low end buick:tup::tup:

We're probably going to be seeing more Z's on the road in the coming months. Dang it, here I was hoping that my Z was special :)

synolimit 07-26-2013 09:28 PM

Gay! So a 13 with a residual of 21k 3 months ago must now be 18k. Its only fair.

Z_ealot 07-27-2013 02:28 AM

well back from the dealer....bad news is the deal fell through for me and wasnt able to get myself into a new Z, but we all know life is not fair sometimes...in any case i did manage to get a close up look and test drive of the new 2014 and from the time i spent wit it i can say for sure it is the same as the 2013's and no there arent any brake ducts. on a lighter note i did manage to get myself back into the nissan family at least and walked away with an almost fully loaded versa note for a heck of a good deal so for me at least it will be another year or so of lurking until i can get things straightened out and who knows by then the next Z will be out and it will be just as good or better than the current Z, but i will not give up until i get into another Z and to all who currently own a Z, i hope you enjoy them as much as possible :)

After reading the 11 pages it looks like Minsu is the only '13 owner who doesn't mind overpaying, and anyone else who is critical doesn't own a '13 and didn't get a fisting.

I side with the '13 owners who are pissed, ESPECIALLY after Corporate refunded $3k on the remaining stock.
That means Nissan should refund $3k to those who recently bought '13s, when that cut off is, I don't know...

Guys, back it up. If I bought a $10000 Sony 4k TV, and it went on sale for $8000 28 days later, you bet your ass I'm taking it back, and saying, yeah I want the sale price, and the store WILL give you the difference, even thought you used and set up that TV.

Hell I bought a set of Michelins from Costco, 3 weeks later they were $75 off a set of 4, came back, asked if I can get the difference, at first the person said no, then I said, great, I'd like to return a set of Michelins, they carry a 30 day no questions asked return policy, that guy called the manager, and the manager didn't even question it, he's like yeah, you got screwed, we should've told you, here's $75+tax CASH!

That's customer service right there. And THAT'S the way it SHOULD be

DEpointfive0 07-27-2013 02:55 AM

I more hope Nissan goes, pays back what they paid the dealers or REALLY gives $3k (or whatever the price difference is) worth of service to the owners or extends the warranty

I find that funny because in another thread he is all about not paying to much for a car he may not keep...:bowrofl: also he is the same guy saying

"this thread shows the true z enthusiast from the "i like how the z looks like" peeps"

what does loosing $4000 overnight have to do with being a true z enthusiast...

But you bought the car because you wanted a Z, this thread shows the true z enthusiast from the "i like how the z looks like" peeps. For me im pretty nonchalant about it when i first saw the price i was like awwwww shoot batman but after sitting on it and thinking about it and reading these posts i mean i bought my car for 32.5 OTD with 2k miles on it and im glad it had 2k miles on it b/c i would have felt worse stalling in a car that hasnt been broken in. so going to dealerships and nego with them for a new 2014 and prob only get the car price without tax to 28.5 at best but prob 29. and then NJ taxes and fees so around 32k....not worth the animosity or anger or time to frustrate on it. honestly italy you would at best pay about 500-1000 less if you were to get the 14.

I think you should go back and read your own posts..

also just because you have a z now doesn't make you a enthusiast..

I would get some facts before I would start saying people on here just like the looks. especially since it seems to me your just learning how to drive a manual.. its kinda hard to believe you are a hard core enthusiast and don't know how to drive a stick shift.

I'm another 13 owner who paid the old price few months ago. I have to agree that the price drop annoys me quite a bit, and what annoys me more is that when I'll decide to sell it, it'll be based basically on the value of the last 2014 model but just older (although the same car). Definitely Nissan made a smart business move in today's market, it doesn't matter the real reason they did it, but they screwed up a bunch of people or basically everyone who bought a 13 until now. So, after ranting about it.... I am serious now, What can we concretely do?

I have contacted Nissan cooperate and am waiting to hear something back from them. Ill let everyone know what they say when they get back to me.

alvitdk 07-27-2013 05:47 AM

Not sure what the fuss is about. Is might be annoying, but where would you make the cut as a manufacturer? Obvious any price changes would be done with a new model Year. I have a 2013 which I just bought some month ago, but that's life, sometimes you win, sometimes you loose.

Unfortunately...not much except call and complain. Anyone know what other '14 Nissan models are going for versus this year? If it pisses off enough people and they make a call then it could turn into something. Who knows. I'll be making my call to corporate on Monday regardless of outcome. With my personality the call may go south pretty quickly depending on their immediate response.

DEpointfive0 07-27-2013 06:28 AM

If the '13 people get a refund, can the few people that are taking the "shít happens" approach, (Minsu and alvitdk,) give me and Tyler (XiP) the money you receive? Obviously you guys are ok with the price you paid, and some of us are REALLY in a bind and can use a bit of extra cash
