woooow all i can say is fkkkkkk
but regardless i only paid 33k OTD so it doesnt matter much.
doesnt effect me much but for those who paid 35-38k sorry,,,,

jburke26 07-25-2013 03:46 PM

WOW! Gonna be some anger and rage up in here.

Cmike2780 07-25-2013 03:46 PM

It's about the same price as it was in '09. They just brought it back down to '09 numbers after some slow increases over the years. I'm betting the new Z in the works and will be revealed soon.

MyKindaGuise 07-25-2013 03:48 PM

WOw this is a good move.

Nissan claimed no change at all in 370z excluding NISMO. I guess that does not include the PRICE xD:shakes head::shakes head:

kenchan 07-25-2013 03:52 PM

they did remove the $500 steering lock... :ugh:

enkei2k 07-25-2013 03:53 PM

$29,990 MSRP base.

$33,020 MSRP base + sport

$35,270 MSRP touring

$38,300 MSRP touring sport

$43,020 MSRP NISMO

:icon14:

Oh well! It wouldn't of mattered to me if my Z was 38k or 43K. I was gonna what i wanted regardless. Its just money right? :ughdance:

I doubt it. They're not exactly flying out of the showrooms and you'd have to be a terrible negotiator to pay MSRP.

Hopefully they removed a good number of features off otherwise people with base model Zs will be pissed.

Minsu 07-25-2013 03:57 PM

lol at first i was like OO WTF but then i thought to myself im lucky i stalled in a car that was 2.8k broken in already and then i thought maybe i should get one in white, then i thought what if i got paid in trident layers? pfft all in all Midnight blue REALLY grew on me and my car is my car i would be paying the same price just for a colour change. not worth the hassle and im not justifying my buy. im fallin in love boys what can i say

There is officially no reason now to choose a FR-S/BRZ over a Z34.

Especially considering there's more likely to be gouging/no wiggle room on twins pricing relative to Z pricing.

Better MPG on the 4 cylinder FRS/BRZ?
(useless) back seats?

MSRP for an FR-S is still ~26k so that's like 2-3k difference between them and Z. To some that's a small difference, to others it's a world of a difference.

Now I kinda feel Nissan did this to compete with FRS.:icon18:

Z_ealot 07-25-2013 04:14 PM

Lol wow I feel like I got an instant discount on my soon to be arriving 2014 Z

italy3541 07-25-2013 04:43 PM

Does this piss anyone else off?? I bought my 2013 in march now granted I beat the dealer up and got them to $32000 for a sport, but still.. I can only imagine how low I could have gotten them if the starting price was $33000 instead of $37000.......

ditto...:tiphat:

kenchan 07-25-2013 04:47 PM

13 is generally an unlucky number for a lot of folks.

(lucky number for me...)

you can probably get it now with the price of a FRS:happydance:

italy3541 07-25-2013 04:51 PM

I am seriously debating getting rid of my z now.. I spent weeks going back and forth to dealers playing them against each other to get the best deal I could. Now not only can you get a sport for cheaper than what I worked my azz off for but now my car has taken a huge hit on resale value....

this looks like 2009 pricing.

SS_Firehawk 07-25-2013 05:00 PM

The touring now costs $5k extra, then another $2k for nav... So there is a lot of fluff in a touring model. It used to cost around $5k with nav. Base +sport model still the bang for buck steal at $33k.

fonzo179 07-25-2013 05:00 PM

Well, butter my biscuit. :yum:

coolvans1988 07-25-2013 05:05 PM

probably left over 13's and changing the year to 2014...

But yeah the price does hurt... smh.

SS_Firehawk 07-25-2013 05:11 PM

The value of the Yen did drop as well this year. I feel this pricing is much more in line of what it should be... Except for the Nismo... that thing is overpriced by $5k.

coolvans1988 07-25-2013 05:16 PM

i think its also competing with the top of the line Hyundai Genesis coupe.

About time

JungleZ 07-25-2013 06:49 PM

Awesome price drop except for the fact that the new bumper redesign looks weak.. I tried liking it in midnight blue but even the wheels look melted..

bghoward 07-25-2013 06:56 PM

Did anybody else see this?

Nissan Sport Brakes

Balance doesn't just apply to cornering. Bringing the powerful 370Z® to a halt are its largest brakes ever—available 14" front rotors, with the gripping power of 4-piston front calipers. Purpose-designed ducting helps to reduce fade and provide predictable and precise stopping power.
Is this a new feature on the 2014's or does the 2013 also have new brake ducting as well?

Zbrah 07-25-2013 06:59 PM

Not sure if this has been brought up but can we swap 2013 front bumper with the 12' and older? I had a discussion with another member yesterday and was given the okay, but need more confirmation to make sure. Thinking of getting a new 2013 and swap bumper with the older model.

I don't see why you won't be able to swap them out. Wiring the DRL should be simple.

Wouldn't you want to get a 2014 and then swap the bumper? It's cheaper than a 2013.

ZKraken22 07-25-2013 07:15 PM

Good move. trying to sale as much as they can before the 15 comes out. I'm sure the 15 will jump right back up.

The Z's price drop most likely has to do with the Japanese governments decision to produce more yen. If this is the case, there's a good chance that the BRZ/FRS prices may drop as well.

Now let's see if this will affect the GTR. It just might sway some of us here.

enkei2k 07-25-2013 07:28 PM

So if you bought a 2013 model and kept it with fairly low miles, you can probably do a straight across trade for a 2014 model? or even get cash back? :rofl2:

SS_Firehawk 07-25-2013 07:44 PM

Nissan has been dropping the price on their entire model line, including Infiniti. I think the GTR is the only one holding out lol. M56 isn't cheap either. But for the most part, Nissan went aggressive since the beginning of the year pricing their cars.

Im hoping to get the 13 down even lower when dealers clear out inventory for the 14'

madwi 07-25-2013 07:56 PM

I paid around $37K OTD for my '13 sport last Oct. and I aint even mad. Im glad I can afford to drive the car I wanted for a long time. and seriously life is way to short to fret over a couple grand wasted. Enjoy what you have and life is that much sweeter.
