40.5K '13 Nismo asking for too much?

I found a '13 Nismo for $42,400 which included the Bose package and back-up camera. I visited the dealer to test drive it and fell in love with it (although I wish Nismos could have the nav package but you can't get everything). I gave an asking price of $40,500 and they would NOT budge and actually seemed offended that I had the audacity to lowball them. Even offered $41,500, still no go.

Are the 2 figures I offered too low? Am I being cheap? I know MSRP is roughly $46,000 but they kept insisting that I would never find a Nismo for 41K or less with the Bose package.
