No I haven't checked with them. I've tried State Farm, Geico, Progressive (I am with them now, and have been for over 2 years), and finally All State.
I don't mind paying a little more if I can get a hold of an insurance adjuster should I need to. I wouldn't feel safe using someone like eSurance, etc. If I go with All State, they are well known, and have a few dozen offices in the city. I'll look at Mercury though. I'll look into anything at least once. |
Jeez some of you are paying a lot.
27 yo 77X credit score clean MVR report Geico 500 deduct $145/mo I think thats way too much. But I think I can knock it down closer to $100 if I go with USAA, I was about to switch to them for my SUV before I got the Z and they were hella cheaper than Geico. |

Clean record, 38, married - 50/100/50 - 500 deductibles - Roadside - Progressive $446 every six months.
|
Hell even when I had my first 350 I was only 22 and with Progressive I was around $175/mo in San Diego. Maybe they think us sailors are more responsible :bowrofl:
|
Also remember that the 370Z is in its "first year" of production. To the insurance underwriters that means the 370Z is not the same car as a 350Z no matter the number of years the 350Z has been around.
That means the insurance companies can make the :bs: claim they have no statistics accumulated yet of the car's overall performance and safety. So they get to set an inflated insurance rate at least for the first production year of the car. That can jack up the premiums and everyone must suffer through the first year... |

My cousin told me that, the insurance isn't based on your
age, it is based on when you got your license? Correct me if I am wrong! |
31 "Married", clean record, high 600's credit score, homeowner, multiple insurances with company.
Car costs me an additional $89/mo w/ $1000 deductible. Goes up to $112 for $500. That's also with 50/100/25 + under/non-insured coverage. |
