Yep, Depending on the state, total taxes due on the vehicle is a ripoff. So don't lease in that state. I would not put 3K down on a lease car,

Yep,
Depending on the state, total taxes due on the vehicle is a ripoff. So don't lease in that state.  I would not put 3K down on a lease car, not even 1K.

My state is currently ky. Im not sure what the lease taxes are here but the quoted number makes it seem like the state taxes the total value. Of course they knocked about that much off the retail price as well. Seems like an acceptable compromise. Based on my car buying habits leasing really is my only logical choice.
