Dealers don't have to register a car to DX it. They also typically don't have salesmen do it. Salesman work on commission and don't make any money when they are not in the building. Dealers usually pay older retired guys to DX a car for them. I don't think they will be joyriding in your new Z.

But I think you'll agree it might be a better idea to drive it yourself if possible.
