You've had your heart set on the 2012, I wouldn't change your mind now. There's still plenty of them out there, you just have to find it. I live in Florida and I found the Z I wanted at the price I wanted almost 1300 miles away. Hang in there!

I agree that you can find the car you want w/o a problem. If the dealership is not going to make any money off of you for buying a new car & you want a car that is a good several hundred miles away, then you will probably have to pay for the transport yourself usually. I had to pay $1k to get my '12 Nismo (pick-up this Fri morning with only 4 miles on it) which is almost 200 miles (one way....400 round trip) away unfortunately. The dealership didn't make any money off of me really. If I was paying a couple grand over invoice, then they would have paid for the transport.

persimmon is the way to go, automatic is not.... learn and get a manual, this car and you deserve it. G/L with the '13 process. I am recently out of college too, just do your best to save and get the car you want without compromising.

Oh god you're going from a Neon to a 370z?
That's like going from stepping in poop while wearing sandals to.. driving a 370z! My buddy had a white Dodge Neon. By the end.. there was a hole 'through' the floor you had to avoid, and when it rained.. it came through the hole on the roof ![]() I didn't read all the posts but.. you can't possibly go wrong with any Z. I wanna see what your 2012 or 2013 looks like when it arrives. So exciting! ![]() |

I love the DRLs on the 2013s, so I think you come out way ahead by stepping up a year. If you don't like the calipers, it's an easy job to paint them. (I did...blue. See my album.) I know you will be happy.

If you were getting a NISMO, it wouldn't really matter. Since you are getting the Touring w/ Persimmon, I think you should not settle for anything. If you want the 12, get it. If you actually like the way the 13 looks, then go for it. Also, deviating from your plan may be a mistake.......you never know what you will find in a couple months. Heck......the way people buy Zs and end up selling them is somewhat nerve-racking. I guaranty you will see a 12/13 that someone just bought up for sale in the forum classifieds or other ad source, lol!
