im definitely not saying that $945 doesnt suck. because it does...but honestly its kinda a convenience thing...first of all i forgot to ask exactly where it is coming from but lets just say its coming from boston. thats a plane ticket there and 900 miles back (15+ hours). i would be taking my dad along and neither of us are willing to miss any work so if anything got delayed/held up whatsoever it might not all get done in one weekend. the dealer said he is willing to take the 945 out of my down or factor it into the 60 months, which is about 15 bucks more a month. so in the big picture i dont really care but yeah thats definitely a lot

MacLean 04-16-2012 05:22 PM

Do what you have to do. As I stated earlier in this thread that I paid an even $1k for my car to be shipped. In the end it was well worth it & it is only money. Remember money will always come & go.

Your car is coming from close to where I used to live! I bought my 350z in Boston Mass. I'm from Maine but it was only a little over an hour... I think it was cool you shipped it! Enjoy

Mikes350z 04-16-2012 08:34 PM

I live south of Boston, I had my car delivered to me from Virginia, about a 7 and a half hour trip but I convinced the dealer to drive it themselves to me, and they drove my trade in (350Z) back... If you are a good negotiator perhaps you can do a similar deal... Even if you say forget the $500 off and just deliver it to me and take my trade in for the drive back they might be willing... expensive sports cars aren't selling like hot cakes in today's economy so be hard on them. G/L.

SaraJewell 04-16-2012 11:55 PM

I'm not trading though:/

ZForce 04-17-2012 08:29 AM

It 's not all that bad on transportation cost considering it will be worked into the financing over the years.

LakeShow 04-17-2012 04:12 PM

So when's it coming?

SaraJewell 04-17-2012 07:19 PM

they are hopeful it will be here saturday but telling me not to get my hopes up of course (my hopes arent up...wasnt expecting this car til june anyway. lol). so im pretty much just sayin sometime next week.

question for when i pick up the car....they said it will be fully detailed to "perfection"...i was already told to make sure the front license plate mount is removed to check for any chips in paint from that...anything else??? i dont want to be blinded by how gorgeous it is (and excitement) and not notice something is wrong in the paint, etc

Lemers 04-17-2012 07:29 PM

Well post pics of your car. All this talk is making frustrated. ;)

Anarky 04-17-2012 07:30 PM

Hi Sara congradulations on the purchase. I hope everything goes smooth with the transport.

This is jut my opinion but I woudln't let any dealer wash my car. You'll probably end up with swirl marks right of the get go. Again this is just my opinion.

Lemers 04-17-2012 07:31 PM

I got a sport and I didn't knot ice the sport front spoiler was missing until I was 500 miles away. So check to make sure that all the parts that are dealer install were.

do you mean that front chin aero deflector thing? (dark lip thing under the front bumper?)

Lemers 04-17-2012 07:53 PM

Yes. That's it. I thought about making a big deal, but honestly does it do anything? And I've never seen on outside the dealer that isn't damaged.

SaraJewell 04-17-2012 07:56 PM

ugggggg

:tiphat: & Congrats on finally getting her.

ZForce 04-21-2012 12:58 AM

Congrats, only a few hours away. Check the rims for any curb rash, swirls in the paint, plastic wrap still in the cracks of interior, ticking sound coming from engine, rear hatch sticking, drivers seat not completely secured, bubbles in paint....pretty much you could view the thread on 370Z Complaints So Far.:tiphat:

Osiris 04-21-2012 11:16 AM

Congrats Sara..can't wait for the pics! Now, moving forward, what are we going to mod first?! :stirthepot:

ZForce 04-21-2012 03:33 PM

Yeh so NOW the title of this thread is off by one year...ha. Personally I would have waited for the 2013. Like the improvements they made...except the wheels.

I think everyone is hating on it right now. I think it will look better in person, especially in a different color other than the only red Z photos they have right now.

ZForce 04-21-2012 05:03 PM

So I am also hearing the hate....I like-e and would get the red, with a bit of black accents here and there on the exterior it will look hawt. But to each thier own.....if we all liked the same things then the world would be pretty boring....just say-n :tiphat:

SaraJewell 04-21-2012 05:46 PM

thanks everyone! it is absolutely beautiful and in perfect condition, there was one very minor chip in the paint of the drivers side rim which they will fix. otherwise i absolutely love it! its a very overcast day so the pics arent as great as i would like today but ill post them anyways!

SaraJewell 04-21-2012 05:56 PM

alrighty everyone check my album, they were taking too long to post in the thread

LakeShow 04-21-2012 06:18 PM

Persimmon interior is the way to go!!!!!!!! Congrats on the car, have LOTS of fun with it:tup:

Hawk6 04-21-2012 09:42 PM

Congrats babydoll!

ZForce 04-22-2012 12:01 AM

Congrats, pics look great. The first 25 miles are the most important. Mine had 38 miles I believe. I don't think many get a new car with zero miles...IMO. I really wanted the persimmon with Platinum Graphite. The production was so new (2009 purchased in March) that they could not locate my preferred package PG/Persimmon, 6MT, Touring Sport, Nav. without having to wait weeks for one to be ordered form factory. So I opted for a ready to go model w/o Persimmon and Nav. Wishing you all the best with your new Z !!

Oh...you may wanna take off the shipping blue plastic off the gas pedal. :tiphat:

fairlady_z95 04-22-2012 06:08 AM

We need videos of you driving the car. I don't think anyone here would disagree with me.

Thechidz 04-22-2012 09:23 AM

The Persimmon and black looks sick. Grats
