dont worry to much... might not be super accurate, since my car shows up as zero made lol

SaraJewell 04-12-2012 05:54 PM

well is that supposed to mean there are only 2 like that on sale in america RIGHT NOW? im just not exactly sure what the quantity "2" is supposed to indicate.

heres the deal, like i said there is one i found that is available somewhere i will not say....mentioned the dealership to my dealer today but havent heard a reply nor have i been able to get in touch by phone yet tonight.....

would it be crossing the line to call that dealer where the car is before my own dealer does??? im kinda just curious if they ACTUALLY have it or if they have sold it

My take on it is that it tells you how many have been made in that particular configuration... Up to Nov 2011.

Mine told me 82.

2010
Base + Sport
7AT
Mag Black
Black Interior
Non-Nav

jofro6 04-12-2012 06:00 PM

yeah i agree, number should be how many nissan produced in that configuration... i dont know about the nov 2011, cause it does give 2012 stats if you just put in the year

Hey Sara, I just got a 2012 Sonata Turbo for a daily driver and went to my local Hyundai and they couldn't locate the one I wanted color, gps moonroof, turbo etc. Then I called 3 dealers and one had it being delivered that day! I said screw the local dealer locator and went and grabbed it myself!

I think we are all pulling for you on here to get exactly what you want so do whatever you need to get it!

Goodluck! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! I will be going to Nissan this weekend I can see if they will do a dealer locate for you too... Won't hurt

Pm Vince I believe his profile is linked to that stat sheet. If I'm correct from when he and I spoke, what it gives you is production numbers shipped to the US for sale in the US. Now, you have to remember production of basically all 2012 models was low due to tsunami. I know others who have entered their vin number (you search for the thread as I don't remember what it was orginally called) have been able to find Nissan stats as far as when the vehicle left manufacture arrived in US delivered to exact dealer they personally bought their car etc., so it seems pretty accurate. I believe the op may have been called "production stat checker" or something but not sure.

Jofro it says thru-2011 because he has not updated the title but has incorporated 12&13 models as you can see. Like I said it gives stats on how many we're produced/delivered for US sale.

XwChriswX 04-12-2012 06:36 PM

I like there being less than 100 of my model produced.

Hmmm... theres one problem with 2013 Z's............ the world will be over.

SaraJewell 04-12-2012 06:46 PM

called the dealer that has the car. over the phone they arent budging on the price which is over 1K what the other dealer told me on my non existent ordered 2012 (lol). it was way too high and i just cant do it if they wont come down. we will see what happens tomorrow when they talk to my dealer; they are willing to possibly trade but they are kinda holding on to it tight. it might slip through my fingers but hey i do want the car that i want but there comes a line i wont cross financially.

If they have what you want... There is not crossing the line, but at the same time, don't chump yourself over a small amount compared to the whole value. :ugh2:

crossing what line??? you are not obligated in any way to buy from the dealer that had you place an order for a car no longer in production. Makes me think they did it on purpose to try to lock in your business

yeah i know. this has nothing to do with my dealer and obligation though it has to do with how far i will go basically for freaking seats. if i get this thing you gotta remember im 7K under my goal down payment right now getting it now instead of june! handing someone several miles away almost 2500 bucks including transportation is screwing my monthly payment over bigtime. yeah i realize im in a huge hurry and a bit of a time crunch but i am VERY smart with money and i refuse to make an irrational decision tonight over the phone

oops sorry! i meant crossing the line with money (look two posts above)...i didnt know you were talking the calling the dealer post. my bad! what i meant by crossing THAT line was i dont know how the trading process works and i didnt want to complicate crap if they were trading (possibly getting a hungry dealer on the phone trying to get me to buy it from them for way more). sorry for the confusion

How much of a stretch would it be to go to that dealer and get it, vs paying to have it shipped to you?

over 10 hours. that would be alotta gas; might even look into flying. the person said 5-600 bucks for transportation (the 2K i mentioned was approx how much more they want for the car itself) so honestly putting all options in perspective they would probably all wind up costing the same. having her ship it keeps miles off the car though...guess we could take something to haul it as an alternative but i dont want to risk non-professionally shipping a gorgeous brand new car with my dads truck. whatever. the shipping isnt whats getting me its how much more they are wanting for the car itself.

dang im stressed. lol you guys are awesome though:)

I think if you walk in there with the opening salvo of saying you'll put down XXk, that might help them meet you.

Just a thought though, your credit score is really good right?

Lemers 04-12-2012 07:20 PM

I got my in a 3 dealer trade. My dealer didn't charge me anything but I was driven 90 miles from Austin to San Antonio.

Do you have Any family member who was in the military, or have you ever been?

Lemers 04-12-2012 07:23 PM

She sounds like she's just starting out so she may not have much craft history and they may require a cosigner. I personally believe in already having a loan guaranteed from a bank before I go in. Then see what they offer.

:iagree: This is what I'm trying to figure out. If she could go for Pentagon Federal Credit Union...

Lemers 04-12-2012 07:27 PM

Pentagon has low rates. What surprised me was I got a lower rate from my own credit union through the dealer than I did straight from them.

that is a smart idea. and yeah i am kinda just starting out but considering i have a few credit cards which i have never ever been late on and i paid a 33K student government loan off in 1 year should help. like i said that is smart though

Lemers 04-12-2012 07:44 PM

Are you trading a vehicle too?

Pauly 04-12-2012 07:46 PM

about the neon, it knows its days are numbered. little things may start going wrong since it knows you are getting a new car lol. seems like everytime i was getting ready to trade, the car i currently drove started falling apart just to spite me!

Nissan 370Z Incentives and Rebates

Nissan has incentives for the 2012 370Z right now. If you can get the 0% rate, then it's better to go with the least amount of down payment. Use that money to invest in stocks or CDs instead.

i thought this 0% financing thing ended april 4th?

I believe it's April 30th.

It's Nissan's way of making you panic and think 'I have to buy now cuz this awesome promotion is ending!'. But then they just start the same promotion once the old one expires. This is for a 2012 only though, so more incentive for you to get the 2012 over the 2013.

juicypinkkk 04-12-2012 09:04 PM

Although I like the idea of "putting down small down payment" for 0 % financing, investing in stocks might not be the best risk alternative. =P (Unless of course, you have a friend whos willing to sell you 100 shares of apple stock for 500 bucks) =D

Rui Z 04-12-2012 09:04 PM

BTW if you haven't already done so, you should contact one of the forum vendors who will give you a good price and try to find the car nationally for you.

Don't be scared of stocks. If you do your homework and don't get greedy, you will do alot better with stocks than a CD or bond.

juicypinkkk 04-12-2012 09:17 PM

^ yeah of course, I agree its possible.. the hardest part for most people is controlling greed. Stocks are riskier hence can provide higher return. It's kind of like Deal or no Deal tbh, its not that hard to make a buck but its hard not to want more.

It's kind of ironic actually, as a financial analyst I am against stock trading personally. LOL

oh yes i forgot to ask about this, how do i find one on here? i am still getting used to this forum

Hawk6 04-12-2012 09:44 PM

And now back to the car issue. Sara I know your profession and I know how lucrative it is. If the car is not too much (IMO more than 3G over your other price) your really not going to pay that much more in your payment. Your talking a car that cost damn near as much as some homes do now. Trust me I am sure all of us that have fully loaded not base models have had the same thought run through our heads. If the person you have been working with really REALLY is working for you and not just his commission he will explain to you the honest payment diff vs the one you found and the one that "he" ordered. Once he does and he should if he/she is truely honest, I do not think you are really gonna see that huge of a diff in payment like I said... Minus his commission of course, just remember that k. You love that style, model, color seats... yes? Do it you deserve it babydoll and like I said, with what you do...duh you can pay that thing off in a year, year in a half if you want. Do it you deserve it and trust me you will be happier than you know!
