Do I have a faulty oil cooler? With ac on in high temps driving normal I stay at 230-240 and I have hit limp mode on the street before driving

Do I have a faulty oil cooler? With ac on in high temps driving normal I stay at 230-240 and I have hit limp mode on the street before driving extra spirited and it didn't take long. (now my eyes are glued to my gauges)
Edit: this was in palm springs I will pay top dollar for a factory oil cooler to keep my warranty, since an oil cooler isn't a bolt on and is an ordeal to take out if you have car problems.
