Maybe I'm way off and demand on the Z is horrendous, so it's dragging the price down. But I just can't imagine a 2011 automatic + sport + touring (MSRP = $41,000, Invoice = $38000) being sold for $34,500. You can't compare 2009 or 2010 model prices since Nissan has upped the cost significantly for 2011.

Maybe LouFuszNissan can chime in here to say if $34.5K is possible for a 2011 automatic+touring+sport (before TTL)

It doesn't look good for the OP.

Desperate dealers who are trying to move inventory are more willing to offer huge rebates & discounts; more so in the winter time where there is almost no demand for the car. The OP can scoop up a new 2011 in Dec for that price if he looks extensively and drives the negotiation process.

Oh, my bad. Not for an auto - I didn't realize they charged so much extra for the auto! :bowrofl:

But yes for a manual, there is one for sale near me for that price. I know it's the one I test drove when I bought mine and it had 300 miles on it then, so now that you mention it I bet they are cutting it down even more to get rid of it.

Now we're getting somewhere. I might not be the best car buyer, but all I see anyone talking about here is "MSRP vs Invoice" as if thats all there is to it. My research thus far says even invoice is an inflated price. If you guys think paying 500 over invoice is hitting a home run, I think YOU need to do your research.

Anyway, does anyone know anything about factory ordering Z's? Perhaps I could just have them put together one I like and get it shipped in a few months?

Really dude? You bought a car with 300 miles on it and paid way too much for it a week ago, and now you're handing out lessons on how to buy a car?

Yeah, why don't you go to a dealer and ask about factory ordering a Z to your specifications for $4000 under invoice - AND you're not going to pay TTL. Please videotape the conversation, too. :icon17:

I ordered mine. Get it in Feb / March.

I paid invioce + TTL, which still leaves the dealer the holdback of right about $800. I think that's fair-they've got to make a profit. I don't remember the total exactly, but it was what you want (touring, sport, 7AT) + nav and it was low $39's.
