Holdback & Total Invoice

Hi guys, a question arose while making some calculations and notes; when calculating "holdback" do you use the total invoice price of the car, with or without the destination charge??

Destination Charge is something you have to suck up, no matter what.

But, I wouldnt include that in holdback, since its a fee that goes to the car company, not the dealer, for delivering the car to the dealership...

Holdback for most makes is calculated as a % of MSRP, NOT including destination charges..

Nissan holdback is on the invoice at 2% (not sure if dest is included or not). The dealer doesn't see that money for months so can't squeeze that one dry.

There also maybe dealer incentives that aren't made public that allows further discounts.
