Default Used 2009 or new 2010?

I have been looking for a 2010 370Z Touring with Sport, Navigation and Automatic, and working on trading in my car. I wanted Black on Black, and ideally the Nismo brake pads. There isn't one available nearby, and shipping is about $800 for the one available.

Suddenly a 2009 370Z Black with Persimmon Touring with all options except brake pads is available used at my local dealer. It has 19,000 miles and they are asking $33K.

It has a few paint chips (to be expected) but some in unusual (to me) places: right side rear fender and top of passenger mirror housing.

Also, there are some creases in the driver's outside bolster which are much darker orange and very obvious. And some dirty smudges, but I hope that would clean off.

I use an iPhone, so I know I would need the charging adapter for it.

Can anyone compare the Navigation and iPhone interface differences from 2009 to 2010? The model year differences post leaves out too many details.

Does anyone know if the rumored (by Edmunds) running change to quiet the car by insulating the air extractors is real?

The oil was changed by the dealer at 3,333 then 10,185 then 15,757 and the dealer just changed it, so hopefully that means it was never using oil between changes.

What else should I be checking when I look at it?

Honestly that is not a very good price for a 2009 with 19k on the odometer and all the other crap that comes along with buying a used car. You could probably get a new 2009 model at the dealer with the exact same options for 34k or less. Unless you are going to haggle them down below 30k I would keep looking...

If you can do without the nav, the dealer that I got my car from is listing a 2010 black on black touring auto with sport for 35.5k, and I'm sure you could negotiate a slightly better price

Find a dealer with a left over 09 or wait a few months. Try finding one outside your area. It might save you some cash to find it yourself. That 09 you were looking at is priced kind of high, so be sure to negotiate. Be prepared to walk away if you have any doubt. Dealers usually Jack up the price so they can have some wiggle room. Low ball, negotiate and don't be afraid to act frugal.

Any one suggest a source for another Black 370Z with all the options for less?

I don't see a lot of those around and Edmund's doesn't think it is too high. I was planning to have them throw in the max extended warranty.

It really all depends on what they can offer for my trade-in.

Edit: I did see on autotrader a similar car for $1k less with the max extended warranty so I see a little room to negotiate.

Well, I bought the car for $32,591 but it had brand new OEM tires put on, plus they upped my trade-in $3k to what I wanted, and they agreed to cover the pending $600 repair on my trade, so only a little bit more than I hoped for.

And I got them to sell me the Nissan 7/70 Gold for $1100, which matched the Internet price I saw.

Unlike the NSX, feel like I can make some mods again
