Default Is Nissan giving rebates to dealers on the 370Z?

I tried searching and couldn't find a thing about it.

I was talking to my dad about buying the car, and he was coaching me through by saying that dealers get rebates off of invoice price occasionally on certain cars, thus increasing their profit. In other words, he was saying that I have more room to negotiate.

So is there a dealer rebate on the new Z? How much and is it dealer dependent?

Thanks!

Your father is correct. There is, at times, dealer core or retro money on certain vehicles.
I'm sorry to inform you that the 370Z is not one of them. Nissan rarely will put ANY incentives on a new model, especially a limited allocation vehicle like the 370Z. They will usually use incentives to move out slower moving models.

Also, to move out older inventory when they have newer model cars coming in. They will rarely have a sales incentive or rebates as you call them to push the sale with it being so new.

Default Dealer "Spiffs"

Thru the years, I have had at least two close friends that own several dealerships. And I do know that dealers get incentives from manufacturers that they will not even admit exist (unless you catch them in a slip of tongue).

These are called Spiffs or Kick-backs and are based on many things like volume and inventory, and deals that come out from time to time. I have no idea if the Z is or will ever be part of this program. I do know that these can be part of total volume and certain models.

In this economy, just give it time....Have you see the latest sale figures from Nissan. Not good. The deal's are coming soon. Additionally, Nissan is projected to cut their work force world-wide by 20k.
