factory order and trading in car, who's done it?

I want to order a car from the factory and trade in my z when the car comes in 3 months from now, buy how does this work? Do I get a written guarantee on my trade in when I place my order? Who has ordered a car from the factory and traded in their car? I know of one guy that got a written guarantee on his trade in, but I don't want dealers telling me they can't do this for me.

I factory ordered mine and traded. We locked down the price (VPP) on the Z when ordered but the dealer did not want to talk numbers on the trade until the car came in. But I was ok with it. When the car arrived we locked down the trade numbers and closed the deal. I was anticipating them attempting to use my emotions against me but it was not the case. I actually got more for the trade than I was expecting.

We will usually confirm the selling price, and give an idea of trade, but the trade would be subject to market conditions at time of delivery. I've had a few customers give me their trade and then pick the new car up a few months later, but you need more than 1 car to do that!
