Dark Grey Plasti Dipped Wheels

I wet-sanded the curb rash out of my wheel and plasti dipped them dark grey with gloss. This will hold me over until I get new wheels

Good job on not going with the matte black plasti dip! Any idea on what wheels you want?

Thanks! I thought grey would look better with silver. I like the Volk CE28Ns.

Nice job on the dip! It made me second guess getting some old rims power coated. Might have to try this with a spare set.

Thanks. I dipped my Buick Century's wheels first. I'm glad I did because I learned a couple things that helped the second time. The cans of Pasti Dip can't be cold or the dip coagulates and clumps up. If taking the wheels off like I did, wait until it cures (a day or so at 60ish deg F) before putting the wheels back on or be extremely careful; I tore the dip in a few spots when putting the lugs on because I didn't wait long enough and scraped a couple spots with a socket. Make sure to get good coverage on the edge of the wheel. Getting a respirator is also a good call.

Thanks for the good advice! The only thing I dipped thus far was my rear valence and it came out ok at a distance.
