Not a huge secret. I try to find a pic of another car with the same headlight that I want, at the same angle and then copy it to the car I am working on. Then fit it over the existing headlight change the colour to match the lighting (sometimes the donor picture might have a bit of a blue tinge or red or yellow). The blur the edges of the light a bit so it does not stick out too much and that is it.
