That was cool, lot of adrenaline just watching the whole thing, couldn't stop watching, great video..... I have a few places around here that I can hit 140 or so haven't over it yet, I really trust the drivers around here to stay in there lane and why should they right, maybe some police lights would move em over, oh wait that means he'd be chasing me....

Side note I did have a brand new vette pull up to me on the highway coming home today. Both of us doing 70, he flashed the lets go and what I love about this car is the roll on instant power, he literally was scared or this car is that bad ***, he was at least 5 car lenghts to my left, BEHIND ME up to 120..

Pretty ballsy to hit those speeds on a highway.

All it takes is one a$$clown changing lanes without looking (happens on the cali highways all the time).

Entertaining nonetheless

I did manage to bury the spedo at 160 on my 07 somewhere on a 20-mile stretch of deserted, straight highway in Nevada

Uh, hate to rain on your parade but a new LS3 C6 would leave a Z for dead from a a roll, dig or anything in between. I love the Z as much as the next guy, but the car does not run on hopes and dreams.

A stock 2009 LS3-powered Corvette has a curb weight of 3217 lbs and puts out 436 hp and 428 ft/lb. You do the math

ETA: And the Z06 version comes in at 3180 lbs, 505hp, 470 ft/lb

How was the stability at speed? Did it feel floaty?

It started to feel floaty above a certain speed, but nothing major. There was never any vibration (I used to have an S2000 and it'd start feeling shaky above 130).

What I really want to do with this camera is take it on a drive through the North Georgia mountains. We have some really awesome roads up there that would make for some great footage. There's one road in particular that's full of switchbacks and 180-degree hairpins that always, without fail, leaves my brakes literally smoking by the time I reach the end. Come to think of it, some of you might find my driving on mountain roads even more frightening. But the footage should be fun to watch!

We used to go up there all the time. Vogelish.

The same car at RA before Panoz was bought out

If you want to go up sometime, let me know, I'll probably be up for it... judging by your lack of respect for your own life, I suspect that you'll be leaving me behind though

Tomorrow Sunday, what's going on?
