Any list that consists of the v6 mustang and the FRS being ahead of the Z does not apply to me.
Also, this survey is a lot like the movie critics. A bunch of retired people making decisions for the "whole" crowd. Of course the corvette is highest on the list, it's an absolute dream car for people in their 50s on up. Absolutely it's a nice car, but seriously the mass majority of people I see driving them are older. Then you go down the list and it makes even more sense, Porsche, mustang, camaro etc etc. all cars with a softer right or more space, or more power. Survey people/age range the Z is actually meant for and you'd see much higher numbers. Also, owned a 350, 09-370, and now my 15 Nismo :) so Ya I'd buy again. |
I really enjoy my 370z. I am very attached to Z cars. I've had the 300zx the 350z and now the 370z so I would definitely buy the next one again.

You speaka/typa the Engrish dude. Give me a break. Don't understand a word you say. |
I had a 2005 350Z and now a 2012 NISMO. Look is highly subjective but I don't like the styling of the non-NISMO 370Z and am not crazy about the 2015 NISMO either. I've always been a Z fan but won't buy another one until they can fix the fuel starvation issue. What kind of a sports car that can't make right turns without choking on itself. Maybe Nissan can enter the Z into NASCAR next year...
|
^ I certainly doubt if Nissan will fix that fuel starvation issue. I say therefore your Nismo would definitely your lastZ.

The Z seems to be the red-headed stepchild...

They had Millionaire's Row, with Rolls Royce, Bentley, etc. and Maserati had representation with four cars. Multiple Mustangs, Challengers, Camaros, Evo, Toyobarus and a variety of BMWs. Alpha Romeo, Porsche...well you get my point. Not one Z car. Not even a GTR. I asked the Nissan rep what they were thinking. Nissan's flagship sports car and its little brother don't have a place, but there are 3 Muranos, 3 Altimas, Rogues and every other model out the backside? I definitely agree with you, advertising (or lack of) has some part in the Z's perception among owners and potential buyers. |

I was at a new car show this weekend and I can honestly say the 370Z was the most sexy and handsome car there. Everyone loved it, taking pictures and getting inside. That's when reality hits, it's a two seater, not much utility other than being a sexy fast car.

The thing is ... the Z is not meant to be practical. It is a 2 seat joy ride meant for those who are willing to forgo hyper luxury. When it was released, it was very competitive. Now it is, compared to it's 'murican competition, under powered. So what, still a great car.
BTW, Car and Driver just did a prelim on the Q60. I think we may see a twin turbo 3 liter in the next Z. They say the engine is worth 400 HP. Speculation. |
The HP we have now is plenty...make the car lighter. I'd rather see them go to a smaller turbo 4 and put the car on a diet.

I don't know about everyone else, but 95% of the time when I see someone drive a 350 or 370, its is almost ALWAYS some old guy or old woman. Maybe the age group among the sampling really speaks to the older crowd and they would now prefer a slightly roomier or more comfortable ride. I don;t know if we will ever know why it is ranked so low. IMO i think it is rather shocking. I am on my 2nd 370z and i still cant get enough
|
I don't really know what's not to be satisfied with.
Maybe people wouldn't buy another because they found that it didn't hold their dog and a week's worth of luggage and camping gear and their 2 kids? OMG Mustang and Camaro are faster? But I'm pretty satisfied with the car. I have tried a few others, and I always come back to the Z. |
