My 350z got totaled =(
 

I had a 03 daytona blue touring model, it was a 1 owner (female owned) 6 speed with only 78k miles on it.

I loved the car so much, I was hit by a drunk driver in an SUV and when I got out to look at the damage and exchange info he tried to flee and run me over and ended up putting me in the hospital for a week with a concussion, fortunately they arrested him and charged him with a ton of things and hes going to jail for 3-7yrs and I am in the middle of a lawsuit trying to sue him.

My insurance ended up giving me $12,333.09 for my car, but it sucks now, not having it anymore. I think I wanna get a 370z. Do you think it would worth paying $20,000+ for one? Or should I look for a used HR model 350z?

WOW! What a scary situation! Im glad you're ok though. In my opinion, the newer model is always going to be a step up from something older. And hopefully with the money you win from the lawsuit, a 370Z would be no problem to pick up.

Crazy story! They gave you a good price on your Z at least for it being a 2003

I would look for a low mileage 2010 in any trim since the interior is much nicer than the HR. Otherwise, the HR is still a great value

Ive seen a 07 HR with only 25k miles for sale for $20,000 and 09 370's with around 40k+ miles are going for around $20-$22k

but glad you're doing better. it's only a car, as long as you're good you can buy many more.

The back end is crumped in, the trunk is popped up on the inside. I was hit by a chevy SUV....

I loved my car. I want another one lol but I figure ill go bigger and get either a low mileage HR 350z or 370z. Since I had the "crappy" DE 350z and it was "slow"

upgrade, get the 370 :)

I was also interested in possibly a honda S2000, ive always wanted one. But I cant seem to find one with less than 80k miles for a whopping $16k+!

Why are they charging so much for an old car with alot of miles? Maybe because the S2000 is considered "rare"?

yea it's not produced anymore so it is holding it's value. it depends on all how much you're willing to spend and how much time you have till you have to bu a car.

s2000 are like supra's... over priced. YES they are sweet cars, but NO they are not worth that IMO.

The movie slow and timid 1-6 skyrocketed the resale of those cars cause everyone wanted to be a 'tuner'.... gotta pay to play but why am I paying 25kfor an s2000 with relatively 'low' mileage... =(

Sorry about the 350 OP. On the bright side you now have an excuse to upgrade to a 370!

And then get in lots of debt lol, but it might be worth it for such a sweet ride!

Not having a car payment and not having to pay for insurance and gas every month is gonna save me alot, but at the same time not having a car sucks.

No, he literally tried to run me over, I was standing in front of his car asking him to get out and exchange insurance info with me, luckly there were witnesses who called 911. Instead of ending up UNDER his SUV, I managed to make it onto his hood of his car and then climbed up to the roof as he was driving FAST down the road, he took a sharp turn and it threw me off his car and I hit my head on the road and got knocked out.

Because of it they put a charge of attempted vehicular manslaughter I think. Along with a DUI and endangerment and wreckless driving etc. I am unsure of the charges.

While I was on the roof of his car and he was flying down the road my life was flashing before me eyes, I literally thought I was going to die.
