And of course lets not forget, justifying why you bought an auto Z whenever someone mentions manual. I just moved last year from the Killeen area, but I tell you what... The next time I have a mission down at Ft. Hood, I'll stop by and give you a hug. You seem like you need someone to talk to. Feel better little buddy?

Always matching wits eh? Dude the a/t vs manual is just poking fun but the likes of you self justifying your membership here feeling entitled is annoying with your internet knowledge. All respect intended for my fellow veteran but you really dont want to give me hug. I can seriously hurt your feelings with what I can actually say to you if we met. The cars are junk. Research the issues they have.
Porsche simply doesn't care about reliabality.

Why do they have low claims? Because owners don't drive them!!!!

Ehemmm... My 911 Sc has about 180,000 miles on the same motor.; 21 years of problem free cabriolet driving. Doesn't burn much oil (1 Qt/7.5k miles).

My 997 C4S has 60,000 miles and still runs strong. Just regular stuff like water pump, battery, belt, pads, etc.

I can't speak for the 991 since I don't own one

I bought the 370z because of its wide rear (much like the 930 at 1/3-1/4 the price ). I buy cars simply because I like cars.

Disrespect is variable. In Hicktown Missouri, the Z draws envy and stares, in Hollywood, Ca it could be disrespected. Every forum for every car finds that forum's members disrespecting other cars. The Z forum often disrespects other cars and likewise.

In the end, if you are happy with who you are, then what others think does not matter. Its only when you are searching for your identity or you are not an inner dirrected person then what others think becomes important.

Yes it does matter. If I can't make fun of people and talk crap about their Cars, then there is no point in living. :(

I think the Z gets more respect than most realize. It is usually used in comparison to the other cars to meet or beat its ability's. I really dont hate on other cars unless you drive a Pacer or something like that but playing the variables game with them is interesting thus this type of debate.

Driftomodachi 11-06-2014 05:10 PM

Not sure what everyone's talking about the 370Z has nothing but props. The Z is an icon like the GT-R and that's all there is to it. I don't care about the mustang or any other competitor car I just enjoy driving my Z and that's all that matters to me.

Not everyone has the need to put down others for their choices. The fact that you find it pointless to live without putting down people or hurt their feelings because they think highly of their a Civic SI or Mustang or Genesis, tells a lot about you. Me, I like to think Z owners are kind and gentlemanly and above that crap.

I'm arguing with 2 dumbasses on YouTube right now lol. Who claim to have a c6 zo6 and an unspecified viper. They say the 370z is a woman's car aka friendly gay car. So yeah I'd say it get a lot of disrespect. Undeservingly.

zguynate 11-06-2014 10:25 PM

I have caught a lot of hell from my co-workers for driving a womans car. It doesn't help that a woman on another shift has a white 370z too lol.

Yeah I have seen a few middle aged/older woman driving them around.

scorp38 11-06-2014 10:28 PM

But at the same time I don't believe there is such thing as a WOMANS car. Chicks are into Cara too so why the **** does it matter if chick drives the same car as you lol people are dumb.

the 370Z NISMO, is one of the smoothest, sexiest, (grown folks) car on the market. those other cars mentioned are toy cars for teenagers and youngsters. Just my opinon. Performance and Looks, an awesome combo for all Z's

I'm a late bloomer on this but...This is why BRZ/FR-S owners have delusions of grandeur.
Some Hindu-Brit car enthusiast who is well respected was bought in order to hype up the car. He drove a used Porsche Cayman, a Z and an FR-S He bashed the Z and called the FR-S an equal match for the Cayman. He posted this on you tube before his CRACK HIGH could come down... Now delusional toyobaru owners go on chronic anti-z rants based on hindu guys bias review and Toyota's mind-numbing advertising tactics.

Toyobaru's are getting Azz raped all over America by Z's. We out-accelerate them, we out-handle them, we out-grip them and completely and totally outclass them on every possible level.

The ONLY advantage the twins have is the feel slightly more direct behind the wheel. It's fvckin torqueless... what do you expect? Lol.
It's time for us to stop letting corporations and their slaves tell us what's good and we need to judge for ourselves. With our own independent minds and raw facts. Fact is the Z is a 1g, low 13 second powerhouse with thorobred roots.

^These are facts. I came from a '10 Camaro and I had seen more cougars in these cars driving around doing errands but when it came to car shows, there were mostly men. Mid-life crisis is not bias.

The GT86 crowed hang on to that guy's every word. He was very bias and one sided, at one point he stated that the 370z falls flat over 5000 rpm. I did some research into dyno charts and there was no dip at 5000 rpm, in fact the 370z has a nice linear power band where as the GT86 often has a power dip.

It seems as if he had no real arguments (performance wise) against the Z so he resorted to making things up, that or he convinced himself that the 370z really was a POS. It also did not help the Z considering it had bald tires, something like this will very much effect how a car grips, turns and breaks.

His main selling point with the GT86 was that it slides easily and that it is fun. I'm sorry but sliding around easily does not equate to a faster car or a better handling car. I think i would respected him more if he just flat out said he just likes the GT86 more but that it is not necessarily a better performance vehicle or even a performance vehicle at all.

Basicly the only thing the toyubaru has one us is weight and steering feedback.

Of the two you mentioned, the FRS would only have us on weight. Steering feedback on the Z is very good when compared to the FRS. Having a FRS and a Z in my driveway, I'm speaking with first hand knowledge. You can see page 3 of this thread for my quick review of the FRS.

I find the z steering somewhat numb, and I've driven a handful of fr-s's brz's none were stock they all had at least Coilovers and bigger wheels/tires. I felt the steering was better not a lot better but I felt the road a lot more.

Numb? Under aggressive driving? The Z is overboosted under 45mph. But the faster you go the snappier it gets. It remains direct once aggressive driving begins. But if you turn the car on and drive normal. The electonics will be working overtime on the steering through and through to give you smooth sedan feel. Aggressive driving. Hydraulics take over.

Well here I'll put it this way. My z31 300zx I can feel every rock crack in the road. I can tell exactly what my front end is doing at all times from my steering wheel. In the 370z I can not, I am not saying it is bad at all I'm just saying I personally find it dull not very communicative.
