Not trying to be a GM fan boy... but lets be realistic people. For the money, you get a ton of performance with these cars. And I'm not talking about just straight line speed. Since the C5 came out, these things can handle, brake, you name it. Are they everywhere? Well it is an American made car, so no sh!t. As far as claiming only old men drive them.... well if that is the case then the majority of 370z drivers I see around my area look like a Jersey Shore characters. And don't even get me started about 350z drivers. Kinda pointless to base your opinion on a car by its drivers. I understand this is a Z forum, but believe it or not there are better performance cars out there. And not that much more expensive compared to the new Nismo with tech +7At package.

I agree there are higher performance cars out there. For me it's bang for buck. If you want C7 performance then you pay the 55K for the base model and move on. If it were me, I would buy at least the 2LT with Z51 package. That would be fun. But, 65K and ... Corvette. A base C6 would be slightly better than a Z, but not much. And you have C6 fit and finish. Earlier model Corvettes will require up tune performance models to do significantly better than a Z. The question for the OP is whether or not he will find satisfaction with increased performance of a Corvette over a Z. If he is going after a C7 then possibly yes. If not, buyer beware. A used Corvette may have unknown pedigree. ![]()
