No, they haven't dropped me - at least not yet. I doubt they will since I've been with them for 15 years or so. But I do expect that my premiums will go up for the next year or two, so I'll start price shopping when I get the next bill.

That's a sad but true fact...I have been with my insurance company 20 +
years. I had a small door ding about two months back from a run away
shopping cart.. All paid for bye out of pocket...

How does that work? As most insurance firms want to know if you have had any incidents / claims in the last 3-5 years when attempting to get a new quote.

When you switch insurance companies they are usually interested in how many points (i.e., tickets, and accidents charged to you) you have against your driving record, and your current insurance company also looks at their payouts against your current policy (regardless of "fault"). IME, anyway.
