I was debating on getting a newer vs older this summer... I settled for what I could find the cheapest. I wanted low mileage + sports pack and ended up getting a 2012. I love the front fangs. I do like the vertical LED and fog-light lamp on the 13+ models but the lack of fangs makes it look like ehhhhh

Since you're aiming at an automatic it may be cheaper (I've seen auto's listed lower than manual's for same year and similiar mileage). I know the older model's had a few qwerks but nothing that can't be fixed. Same engine throughout the entire production run so far. I personally would aim for a 2011+ with the lowest mileage. Most of all, drive the car and see if you truely want it or not!

I'm going to predict that the 2015 Nismo Tech Coupe will be a very desired model. Especially that now you can get it with the automatic transmission with downshift rev matching. They just need to dump the digital clock for something like an oil pressure gage & add a back-up object sensor.

i thought the nismo tech trim comes with rear view camera...? im not real fond of those proximity sensor dots on the rear bumper. maybe okay on a suv, but on a sports car?

The rear view camera is great (a wider field of view might be nice) but I'd like the addition of an alarm when the unexpected suddenly appears in the display.
It also gives you an illumination warning when a moving object is in your blind spot.

Get which ever one is comfortably within your budget and a good fit for you.

Then if you find things you want to change - mod it.

Imo the differences among the model years are minor.
