this makes zero sense. obviously he will pass you if he guns it and you dont. BUT the altima is not faster than a Z loaded down or not. put your right foot down hard and come back to report the results. |

they dont stand a chance against a 370Z period. lets go with 2015 specs: Altima 4 door: 182HP - 3191lbs 370Z automatic version: 332hp - 3320lbs anyone wanna do a HP/weight ratio on that? :tiphat: |

I'm sorry if I offended but your original post was pretty ridicoulous. Anyways I do have a 370 just got it and havent had time to post in the intro section yet. |

Secondly a 2015 altima v6 is 270hp but paired with a CVT. Still no chance, agreed. A 6mt 07-09 v6 with intake, exhaust, and tune will keeping up with a stock 370z until 80 given equal drivers. Stock for stock, however, no chance. It's clear you don't know anything about those cars, except 'they have no chance'. Flame away. |

i was quoting a guys comment who has a 370z so its quite obvious i wasnt talking about a 350. and even the V6 version of an altima with 270HP is 3440lbs. still HP/weight ratio is not in its favor again. again in the quote i was commenting on i highly doubt the altima in his story was a 6mt with bolt ons and a tune. you are going out on a limb that wasnt the reason for my original comment. now as for you 07-09 6mt bolt on and tuned altima i will happily smack one around and prove it still aint shit to a 370Z with bolt ons and tune :tiphat: please fully read comments with the statement being quoted before coming at me about my comments which are correct and factual. i will win everytime  |
No it's obvious you know nothing about those cars. Then you go on to compare specs with a 4cyl? Good job. Lastly, I did read your comments, can you read? I said stock for stock it can't keep up. So obviously mod for mod it'd be the same.
This has moved beyond the original post. I don't even know what the original post was. I'm just referring to your blanket statement that they 'have no chance' It's people like you that give Z/G owners a bad image in the VQ community. |

everyone will try to compare cars it's fine. This is where you see the difference between a true car enthusiast (someone who can appreciate cars for their engineering) and a fan boy (someone who flogs only 1 brand and shuts down the rest). feed the trolls though because it gives good entertainment value for everyone! |
Morning everyone,
Not what I would expect from members on a Monday :ugh2: Im going to PLEASE ask that WE all dial back the personal attacks, and move the discussion to the topic of this thread. Im going to cleap-up the past two pages so its where it should be. IF you guys are just going to argue? Please use the ignore list. If the idea was to just derail things because we're bored? I don't think so, and you may need to find somewhere else to troll. This is the only reminder to all once again to "Please Keep it on Topic" Thanks. I honestly haven't given much thought to anything past 2015 :( |

Can i really be a 40+ fanboy. Awesome! I'll do it if its factory turbo. I'll even start tellung ppl how "tight" my z is.
|
Seriously, I saw a big bodied Audi (I think it was an A8) keep up with a GT-R yesterday on the street. The GT-R was barely pulling ahead. Are those heavy *** Audis really that fast? Must be AWD and 450+ hp FI'd for it to keep up with an 11-sec car. Anyways, I was impressed...But both drivers should've been caught by the cops. I don't condone reckless driving for the sake of egos. Someone could've been hurt.

Oh yeah, back on topic. Autoweek stated that sources from Nissan say that the next Z will be an "internationally" marketed car. The Z was a Japan and North American market car, until now. Hence, a 2.0 4-cyl turbo and a 6-cyl hybrid are definitely in the works. The GT-R is Nissan's halo car as the Z steps out of the limelight. Better look at Corvette, Mustang, Camaro if you want raw "throw me back in the seat" torque with 12 sec 1/4's all day long. Or if you can afford it, go the Cayman/991 (3.4) route with 320 hp, mid engine, and high 12s via superior German engineering. The Z will lower its status as a "FR-S, Mustang V6/4-cyl-turbo, Miata" competitor....Nissan has dropped the baton. I will not look forward to the next Z.

VK would be cool but it's never going to happen. http://jalopnik.com/the-next-nissan-...e-m-1643094196

there's no way the Z will have a bigger engine than the gt-r so a v8 isn't happening

A turbo four mated to a hybrid drive would out perform the z34, and the 3.0 turbo with a hybrid setup could be 400+ hp easily. I'm pretty sure that instant torque from the potential hybrid system in these cars will provide plenty of the throw you back in your seat feeling your looking for. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I wouldn't want a v8 Z, especially the vk, that make it more front heavy. I'd rather see a smaller displacement twin turbo v6.
|
For the people complaining about waiting, I waited for 2 years on stupid little updates and rumors for the Mustang. Part of the reason I bought the Z was how long it was taking to get any real info from Ford. And then they made it a fatass car, so it all worked out owning the Z.
|
I strongly dislike the new mustang. In fact I strongly dislike a lot of the 2015 cars being pumped out by the manufacturer's.
Let's see what happens because in my eyes, they(all the car manufactuerer's) aren't shifting toward more performance, they are shifting toward a few common things. Efficiency, gimmicky, and boring. The cars now are starting to become too tame and boring aside from a few on the market. The ones that aren't are riddled with issues or way outside the budget. If only the 80-90's era for cars came back and we'd have every company have atleast 1 sports car. |

They need to make the GTR a v10 or v12 then make the Z a v8 awd :D

What we need is ball bearings!! Everything is ball bearings these days!! Dont you tell me how to do my job boy!!

there may not even be a new Z based on the one nissan VP saying they are only running 2 sports cars. one obviously is the GT-R. the other however may be the IDX now. the general feel of what was said seemed to be like they are trying to create a new platform for a mix of the IDX and Z. it's weird. |
looks like i will keep my Z longer in this case... lol at least the Z is not some ordinary car.
|
|
im not trying to be, but im becoming more and more a vq guy with my old G and all...
|
maybe i should get a VQ Parking Only sign made.. :ugh:
