I find 3500 to 4K to be my normal driving and 7k to be spirited. Very rarely do I push more than that. With Uprev set to 7800, it can bounce off of 8K easily, not so sure about safely.
The Conti-series GS Nissan Motorsport race engines run to ~8800rpm, the GT4 series engines built in the UK run 9000+. IES in the UK will build you a screamer that runs to 10,000 but engine-life is "short".

The key is a dry-sump oil system (or NISMO oil-pump for the VQ if remaining wet-sump), otherwise the OEM oil-pump gears sh1t themselves at sustained running over 7500rpm which turns the engine to toast.
