How much attention does your 370z get?

Not so much here in LA or the Marina as there are nicer cars everywhere, and everyone is pretty immune to nice cars by now. The most looks I get are ones parked next to me at a light, and I always notice them looking at the wheels/brake calipers.

Got my weekly dose of complimets today while washing my car...

60+ yr old man(in a green car with neon green sneakers and neon green shirt ) asking about my ark grip exhaust

Him: nice exhaust, did it come with the car or did you buy in a store?
Me: Nope, i ordered from the internet
Him: oh, so where did you take it to get installed?
Me: i installed it myself
Him: oh, so you know how to weld?
[2 seconds of silence]
Me: oh no, everything screws together with nuts and bolts
Him:[2+ seconds of silence]
Me: its an exhaust "kit"! Comes with the tubes, nuts, bolts, mufflers...
Him: ooohhh... niiice! Looks great in your car.

I laughed because i imagined myself in his place in 30 years from now

Yea, 30 years ago you couldn't get kits like these. No such thing as a bolt on performance exhaust as I recall. It was 30 year ago and around that time ... things were always ... um ... kinda hazy.

Yes you could, I helped install one on an E21 BMW. Man that was biatch! Then again I was a wee lad also at the time.

I had an MGB. I could find KITS but they all required welding. My El-Camino was the same way. In betwixt those, I was married to that biatch! Never had money for fun stuff. She kept spending it on stupid knick-knack sh!t for the house we couldn't afford. Or drinks at the bar. Luckily she found some other poor sap at the bar to put up with her.

Life is much better now.
