I motored to grab a 'Bucks coffee. Ed, you're about to have a fricken Z with fricken laser jammers. Cool, and very illegal in my area. Are they frowned upon in the Great White North?

They are legal in Alberta, BC and Sask. (I'm sure they are ok in the territories and Nunavut too, but no one really lives there)

Good laughs right here! Enjoy your fricken lasers. :icon17:

  • Purchased gaskets for my HFC install tomorrow and had to debate with the parts guy at the dealership as to what I needed
  • Was quoted a ridiculous price for ceramic tint
  • Saw another MB Z. Outside of a club meeting, I rarely see another 370, which I like
  • Had a nice spirited drive down to the river and back

i do not think they are legal in toronto... i remember reading of a gumball rally coming through town and they were being 'spirited' and got caught. they found one with a radar detector and confiscated them.

here's a proper list for the canadia

Are radar detectors legal in Canada?

•Radar Detectors are legal in British Columbia (BC)
•Radar Detectors are legal in Alberta
•Radar Detectors are legal in Saskatchewan
•Radar Detectors are illegal in Manitoba
•Radar Detectors are illegal in Ontario
•Radar Detectors are illegal in Quebec
•Radar Detectors are illegal in New Brunswick
•Radar Detectors are illegal in Newfoundland
•Radar Detectors are illegal in Nova Scotia
•Radar Detectors are illegal in Prince Edward Island
•Radar Detectors are illegal in Yukon Territory
•Radar Detectors are illegal in Northwest Territory

Yup, that's the same as what I posted. Although you left Saskatchewan out lol. They are legal there too.

it's there... third one... damn copy/paste got all jumbled up tough.

i was tempted in getting one but if it got confiscated + fined i'd be out close to 1000 bucks... which could be used for stickier tires and gas :icon17:

edconline 12-31-2014 11:40 AM

Yeah you would need either the Stir+ or 9500 ci. Invisible to radar detector detectors and stealth installed. If the install was done right, you'd be gold. If I ever moved back to ON that's what I'd do. Driving without a radar detector now that I've had one is not an option.

felix0121 12-31-2014 03:07 PM

I had been to the Tuna Canyon RD in California, is well-known for winding drive - was really fun but got scrached/damaged little bit on front spoiler by a rock.

Though highly recommended for like rally thing :D

Memphis370Z 12-31-2014 03:41 PM

Installed my intake tubes, but no dice on the HFC. Demon bolts weren't going to budge and wasn't prepared to turn it in to an all day project. I thought the breaker bar was going to become a broken bar. Hopefully, I can give it another go in the next week or so. About to pull the ECU dump and send to Visconti, and then go for a drive in the country. Nice twisty roads to be tamed!

Bananaz 12-31-2014 04:54 PM

Just ordered a bunch of detailing goodies :)

Porter cable 7424xp, 2 hex logic pads, backing plate, 2 meguiars polishes, chemical guys clay bar and luber, new wash mitt and some NXT 2.0 wax :)

I think that's my next Z...I've heard tell of some car farms in NE Georgia where the guy has crushed older Zs b/c he couldn't sell them for like $1k...these were driver cars!!!

pL4tiNumfi5t 01-04-2015 01:40 AM

Finally got around to reattaching an oil cooler blocking plate and installed the ZSpeed undershroud (great fit!)

Good luck finding one in somewhat decent shape. I have owned mine since 1992.

Hoping to take her out for a spin if weather clears up. Only need to remove the excess dirt and QD her to make her sparkle beforehand :driving:

Gave her a proper wash and wax then took her out for a nice drive.

psibrr 01-04-2015 06:39 PM

today picked up STz

Hydroplaning incident in a slow speed lane change totaled my 2012 Sport, that was almost 2 wks back. :eekdance:

Today picked up 2015 Sport Tech MT, not driven much yet, but tomorrow another 17 mile commute begins. Suspension is nice, firm, not as much as 350z 08 Sport MT but more so than the reverse-progressive 370z 12 MT.

Steering seems to have less delay, and more responsive. Needs some tint but current bad weather reduces concern on that for now.

Other than wondering about 2 of the 8 speaker locations ( 2 of the 6.2, 4.1 on 08, 2 on 12 ) nothing in particular to say. Reverse cam in Nav screen nice, 7" makes things .. bigger than the reverse mirror cam! BT phone streaming pandora convenient.

Oh, the Brilliant Silver almost white looking. Like it of course. Change from Mag Black and Black Cherry I had. Not a merry xmas with hospital visit, but a hny start overall .. belated cheers ..
