That's sort of what I did last night. Bought some silicone adhesive at work and attempted to hold it all together with painters tape. I guess I'll find out in a little bit if the tape is still holding when I leave for work in a bit.

Yeah well, that didn't work. Plus the fact that we're in the middle of a drought right now, and late last night, it decided to rain of course, so the tape didn't have a chance of holding...

A totally crap design to say the least.

I need to find some really good, really strong extra thick automotive tape so I can use only one layer and be done with it, and use that 3M adhesive promoter on it.

And for the ladies in the crowd, please keep the comments to yourselves about the super sexy legs and feet in the bumper reflections.

Same experience. It's ridiculous.

I changed my oil change and did an inspection on my Z after work on Friday. At 35K everything looks good. I'm surprised that my brake pads still have some meat on them still. They are the factory pads. Love working at a shop since I can use the lifts instead of being on my back and having to use jack stands.

I finally got around to giving the Z's paint some TLC, just a clay bar and wax made a world of difference.

Oil change, diff oil change, greased sway bar and endlinks. Then drove it and smiled a lot!

Thanks! I decided to try the mothers speed clay 2.0, as far as I could tell it worked just as good as an actual piece of clay, but more comfortable, quicker, and you can clean it. I know Chemical guys has something similar to it, but I was able to get this locally.

Changed out my rear diff oil to torco sgo, barring the fact that my vlsd doesnt really function anymore anyways the torco stuff seems to at least help it hold up a little longer through the twisties before i feel it let go

There is a product out there called Goop. It comes in several varieties, but look for marine Goop. It holds better than any adhesive I've tried.
My dad had a trim piece that wouldn't stay on his truck, and he was using the adhesive Ford supplied with the piece. Goop did the trick.
(Of course, the truck was stolen after that, but I don't think the goop contributed to that.) I've also used it to glue mirrors back on windshields. I always keep a tube around.

Did the first service at the dealership: oil drained and checked, engine cleaned, new oil, other fluids checked, suspension checked, tires rebalanced and rotated, firmware updated, and they detailed the car.

Took about an hour, and was all covered under the service contract. Very pleased.

Not quite what I expected, but I guess not bad for 115,000 miles.
