I was not aware that the VDC system on our platform was such a big governor. Found it pretty amusing as it slowed the car right down to prevent the back end from kicking out.

Just found this thread also after posting, sorry.
What does the VDC do?
your sig says: Most of us think when we buy a car we can automatically bring out the best in it. However, the weakest link is most often the driver.

Of course. Just like when we buy the so called best guns. Your point being? Joking aside, I merely found it somewhat amusing that the whole car almost stopped when i was making that U turn in dry conditions. Was at least expecting a little tail out happiness.

People take VDC too crazy and this is just my opinion, nothing too serious. If you never driven an old camaro or mustang, or any RWD car with some bawls, then I understand. However, the 370z isn't that bad of a car. It's not a wild monster as people make it out to be. You gotta know when to let off the gas, or control the throttle basically. Obviously if your tires are spinning, and your gas pedal foot is flooring the pedal, I would not assume you'll have any control over any RWD. If you really want practice on that kinda stuff maybe you should try rally racing or whatever, off road type courses.

The whole point of this, VDC on is only meant for people who don't know how to control their car, none the less a mid grade sports car.

And no, I ain't saying the 370z is slow either :P

Well, I think my CRX is turning 25 years old next year, so isn't 25 years old a antique? Honestly, I only owned it for half those years

High school car? Not sure I would want a fiat 600, even if it did have an 850 spyder engine in it.

when it rains or snows there isn't a good driver out there. to say it's for people who don't know how to "control" their car, is a little dumb. if i was the best driver out there i'd still have it on.. having back-up never hurt.

Why does that one guy always try to find soemthing bad in whatever you say. Oh well, first time i brought that up so I felt like saying it.

I always live in the dry sunny weather climate. I wasn't refering to you PENGUINS!!!!!! I honestly forgot about snow since I haven't seen it in a long time.

Obviously you want to have some kind of traction control on during snow and rain, or whatever terrain.

But for normal weather operations, all I'm saying is, when vdc is off, as long as you are not an idiot, or inexperienced driver, you'll be fine. With VDC on, good luck when you need your power the most for any quick thinking situation though.
