I only rode in it from one photoshoot location to another so I didnt get a real feel for the suspension other than to say it felt similar to every other 370z ive been in and I even drove a NISMO at COTA last year. no specifics on spring rate or anything like that were given out or discussed other than to say it was retuned for 2015. it might take some real world testing to see what all was changed. The car is out in 2 months so we will know sooner than later

Tires are S001

The fact that the seats hit the headliner is a no-no for me... I'd want those seats if they could adjust them though

Thanks for all you do for the Nissan and Nismo community. Congratulations on your new Nismo. Hmmm.. didn't know your GT-R was on sale .

The car looks great. I do like it. I'm not quite sure about the front end. It might be a little too busy for me but I do give props to Nissan for something new. I do like the taillights along with the rims (I'm guessing existing rim size is maintained? or new wider rims?). I def. like the rear of the car. It has a nice aggressive stance. Nismo always had good rear stance. I am in LOVE with the seats. wow! absolutely stunning!!! I gotta give props that Nismo can be bought in automatics, . You'll be surprised how many people want to buy a Nismo but won't do it because of the 6spd.

One thing you have to understand this is not a long time update. If the new Z comes out next year, which is going to be totally brand new car, I expect to see a brand new Nismo coming up in 2016-17. So, yes, Nismo def. gets for giving up us an update.

Honestly im shocked. I do not like one thing about redone 15 nismo. In my opinion the 14 and prior nismo were both waaaay nicer. This new version just destroys the lines and has zero flow. Puke. Awful. Gross

Looks great. Just wish Nissan could have pulled a play out of the porsche handbook. (gt3 rs 4.0) like they did with the 380rs z33...

@MC since the rear end ratio has been changed what kind of performance increase can we expect?

Any increase in aero efficiency?

Any changes not stated in the press release?

the front is indeed supposed to be more efficent. the two lower red areas remind me sort of like whats on the 458 ( although they dont flex and thus arnt as functional from that standpoint) but the design is supposed to channel air better working with the upper lip that reminded me as an evolution of what they tried to implement with the S-Tune bumper. The rear as i mentioned in the above post went to a lip spoiler instead of a wing. the wing has an additional raised area

one thing I will point out regarding air flow is the vents under the LEDs are fake they are an aesthetic choice and instead of mesh they are a solid plastic piece with a mesh type imprint on the plastic

not sure about the ratio. I didnt read the press release until I got home so I was just going by what was coming up in conversation. but speaking of performance I was told the Auto is quicker than the Manual and that the choice to go with an AT option aswell as NAV was from feedback and wanting to broaden the audience of the NISMO verison

Seriously no way anyone in their right mind thinks that looks great. The old one was is gorgeous. The new one has terrible wheels and a juke body kit. Just because its new doesnt mean you have to think its awesome when its clearly the biggest fail since Nissan discontinued the Z after the 300zx in the first place.

My first impression was I wondered why did they go with a duckbill style high lip instead of a actual wing like the NISMOs in the past. but as I kept looking at the car more it dawned on me that the more open front fascia gets away from the beak look of the prior nismo. That look really required a wing to balance the rear but the new design gives the appearance the car looks shorter and more stout so the rear lip sort of works. One detail you might not notice in the pics is the lip spoiler has a raised ridge at the top more of a design queue at the top but they said it was for a little little bit extra downforce. its a pretty cool detail put it almost looks like it needs to have the red strip on it

Why do the seats touch the roof? Can they be adjusted lower? That's weird. Are they going to fix that for production models?

Article says there is a shorter final drive. Can anyone at Fontana confirm any one speed in any one gear at any one rpm and we can figure it out.
