Ok so that is a new change. I suppose you don't know if any changes were made to keep srm happy with higher final drive ratio?

na didnt get that technical. I was quite distracted with the NISMO GTR being there..so you guys are lucky you got any Z coverage out of me lol

So if the 2015 uses fd of 3.9, i wonder does tjat mean we can upgrade our 3.357 fd auto to 3.9 without needing the diff from a manual transmission. Thats a worth it mod if the z35 first year isnt appealing

I'm just going to get a PW roadster and buy the new nismo kit to add to it plus the wheels. Any objections?

Ill keep my 2011 Nismo.. only added benefit is seats, nav, and blacked out headlights.. which I can do myself for much cheaper

this probably has been discussed pages back that I missed since its so obvious but this NISMO kit is almost identical to the NISMO Sentra concept. I was going back looking at some stuff on my PC and after seeing the Z in person it clicked that its literally the exact same just applied to the Z

You're probably right. I was going by the latest photo of the car at the time.

I really am surprised they offered an auto version. Quicker or not, an auto isn't an enthusiast option. *Most* nismo buyers want a drivers car, and auto takes all the fun away. Rowing through the gears is where the fun is:)

I been on this forum too long have ANOTHER auto vs manual elitism debate.

MC 05-17-2014 09:22 PM

are rotary phones for calling enthusiasts then?

just saying there shouldnt be a stigma for auto as its down to personal preference and has no relevance on someone enthusiasm for a car. Nissan purposely added the Auto option for the very reason to try to get more people into the NISMO brand of cars and with this push of all things NISMO they wanted it to be more accessible simple as that its an option they arnt forcing it on anyone.. they just didnt want someone to be in the market and the lack of that option ultimately be a reason why they didnt end up buying the car

all that being said Im on the fence if I would go auto or back to manual if I got one of these. Every Z Ive ever had was manual but the 7AT is pretty good. only bone to pick I have with the Auto is from a design standpoint as the shifter knob and poll looks too large

Quick shops care of CoolT, using most of my car w/new nismo front and little extras for fun.

Just wait. When you see one in person, you will want.

Watching the videos made me want one more than the pictures did, so I guess you're 1/2 right, haha.

I felt the same way

If current 2014 NISMO is $43k list price, this will be nearly $45k with options
