some have functionality, small ones like on this car, will provide limited downforce, which adds to the looks only factor. And ironing board totin' civics, or any FWD car for that matter, are the embodiment of rice, being that rear spoilers are designed to place downforce on the rear of the car. So yes, some serve a purpose, in this case, they do not. Onto other things, lets keep in the spirit of the OP and quit bickering about spoilers huh? Be happy with YOUR car, im happy with mine.
