It sound like u not very serious about sport drivin. U a red light racer.
So u can do a base no sport. Get hawk sport brake pads. Eibach springs to drop your car an inch. Then rim.your tires to your ideal spec. U will be good. But ur kind usually causes accidents. So please. Just be smart bout the way u drive. U can street race but hit up the street racin spots. Don't wild out in a residential. |

I don't have time to read through these posts because the answer is so obvious, the sport package is totally worth the money. Just try and buy similar rims alone and that will cost you as much as the entire package.

Given what you're after, skip the sport package. most of what you're looking to do is aftermarket the items that are included in the sport package, so why bother?
I bought the sport package because of the wheels and spoilers, everything else is bonus. |

It seems like the only things you want on the sport package are the brakes and the LSD. both of which can be added from the after market with better results. i would say get the base and upgrade later, 3 grand will get most of what you want (without install). But one thing to consider is that driving is a lot like sex, every man thinks he is the best at it - Jeremy Clarkson. No matter how good you think you are at heal toeing the SRM will be better unless you are on a professional level ( even if you track all the time).

If you don't want warranty hassles, buy the sport package rather than go aftermarket. Changing the diff won't go over well with most Nissan dealers, so you better discuss this first before you swap it.
A limited slip diff can be helpful in slick conditions, especially snow. Why you would want to upgrade the diff if you're purely street driving doesn't really make sense to me. I agree with everyone supporting the sport package purchase. All of the elements are an incredible deal. The base wheels look like sheisse, SRM is a wonderful feature, the spoiler DOES drop the drag coefficient, and the larger brakes are sweet. By all means, save $2000 if you like. But you'll get the value of the sport package right back in resale alone down the road. |
btw, the fastest 1/4 mile reported on this site is a 13.1, and it was recorded by a base non sport auto, so it seems the base is the quickest of the two, guessing the smaller rims and lighter weight. Check the track section.
