Yesterday I did coolant after 4y as its till in warranty (extended) and I wanted to show the dealer a bit more love should I need some help with a claim in the future. Odds are, I won't. In 3 years its gotten nothing but fluid and filter changes, one TSB. - b |

i can tell you that my 10yr old G has nothing but oil, brake, coolant, add distilled water (battery), and diff oil change. and she's running perfectly. i check steering fluid from time to time and it doesnt appear worn at all. be doing a 1qt of extract/fill this spring, but i honestly dont think it's necessary on my car.
34k miles on the odo. original battery too. im the original owner. when she gets to 50k miles i will be doing the MT fluid change. might have a shop help me with the clutch fluid. not sure yet. clutch still feels fine. on my dd i change fluids much sooner under severe driving conditions, but not on my hobby cars. |

actually.. on my dd's i dont really do much work on them other than oil changes and filter type changes, and just buy a new car every 4-5yrs before value goes down.
that said, yah, op you should probably change your fluids. lol changing fluids is not my problem. |

i dont know any of the acronyms being used..making me feel more like a tool
anytime i go to any mechanic shop or get oil changed i dont like the feeling of just giving some stranger most of the time a kid my car and trusting him to do what hes supposed to esp when half the time i watch them jolt back and forth trying to pull the car into there bay. With the Z ill be very resistant to doing that and that worries me |
