Still, never again. (My car was otherwise stored all winter, so summer tires were on it.) |

I dont see why anyone even swapped tires yet, anyway. This week is the first week we'll have north of 60 for every day of the week (so far), and even THEN, the colds will be in the 40s.
What's the rush? I won't even bother driving my car on summers when temps are south of 50 or so. Summer tires are **** below there, until they are warmed up, which certainly isn't going to happen in the rain/sleet.

During the last snow storm here, I saw a slammed S2000 driving around on the ice skating rink that was 97S, on summer tires.
He made it. But he was going about 5MPH at best, and was more of a ******* hazard than anything else.

your insurance should have a limit of how much they can pay u without raising your premium. if your deductible is high, then probably not worth the hassle. |
