in a bad situation

I had to get to work today and there was a snowstorm that was supposed to be rain. I had to drive anyway and was less than 1000 feet away from the office when I skidded and lost control and smacked my left back wheel into a curb. I managed to park it in the garage at work. it took huge chunk out of the wheel so I need a new one. I can put my spare on for now I think but does anyone know of a single wheel with tire for sale? 19" rays wheel from 2009-2012

and tire is the bridgestone potenza re015 or whatever it came with

I guess I could get one new tire and if anyone has just the wheel that would work as well but I think new wheels are over 900 right? and a set goes for like 900 here

of course I had winter tires up until two weeks ago so I am pissed at myself and the snow

Make sure you get a wheel alignment as well.

I didn't want to go through insurance because I would probably lose my good drivers discount of like $65 a month (thats what they said when I asked about a front bumper)

so for 3 years that would be like $2k+

sorry to hear. :(

with those tires, i would've just called in even if you HAD to go to work. you could've killed someone.

in my area this time of year is iffy with ice, snow, or rain. i have an app in my phone that i check a couple of times a day to monitor temperature for the entire week. any time rain is forecasted at temps 35F and below is pretty much dangerous without snow tires.

Yea man I don't see why everyone doesn't at least have a beater for work. No shame in my game, I drive a 98 civic with 160k miles for work.

yah.. :( or just a set of snows like Blizzaks for the colder months. you can use all season tires like DWS if light snow, but if prone to freezing rain and snow, id just get dedicated snow set.

all season is like a halfarsed jack of all trades.... :ugh:

kenchan 03-31-2014 09:27 AM

all season tires: hi i am a guy with many talents. i can do this and that and that and this and this. i am cool.

real tires: yah, but you aren't an expert at anything... :ugh:

all season tires: i know... :crying: i suck.

real tires: yes you do. :icon17:
